Walnut Console Table

This Piece was a commission to build a traditional and elegant console table with two drawers.

 

The top is comprised of two bookmatched pieces of walnut that provide the ​striking line of symmetry within the rich grain of the walnut. It is hard not to be drawn into the deep marble like patterns in the warm colours of the swirling grain.

The walnut for this particular piece came from a large estate in Lincolnshire and had been seasoning for over 10 years by the time I came by it while looking for timber for this commission - A real result I am sure you will agree.
